A heated love-triangle dispute escalated into a physical assault involving a Member of Parliament (MP) and a 36-year-old man in Kisii Town, Kenya. The incident, captured on CCTV footage, unfolded at a local restaurant last week. Astarico Moriasi, the victim, bravely reported the assault to the police, filing a formal complaint on November 27th. According to Moriasi, the MP accused him of being involved with his girlfriend, leading to a violent outburst. The MP, accompanied by his bodyguard and another man, stormed into the restaurant and physically confronted Moriasi at his table, causing a disturbance that lasted several minutes as patrons tried to intervene. Moriasi's injuries and the MP's continued freedom raise concerns for his safety. Despite the clear evidence and completed procedures, the police have yet to make an arrest, frustrating Moriasi and his legal team. This delay has left Moriasi living in fear, with the possibility of further intimidation or harm by the MP still looming.
